Getting Started
Creating Your Account
To start using Rendertize, visit app.rendertize.com/signup and create an account with your email and password.
- Email verification — You'll receive a 6-digit code at your email. Enter this code on the confirmation page to verify your account.
- Password requirements — Your password must be at least 6 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one digit, and one symbol (e.g., @, #, $, %).
- Starting credits — New accounts receive 100 free credits to get started, plus any plan-based monthly grants.
The Dashboard
After logging in, you'll see your dashboard with three main sections:
- Credit Balance — Your remaining credits appear in the top-right corner. Credits are consumed by API renders and AI metadata generation; browser screenshots are free.
- Render Workspace — Click "New Render" to start the core workflow: upload a 3D model, configure settings, and render.
- Listing History — View all previously saved listings, search by name, and re-copy metadata.
Understanding the Free Tier
Rendertize offers lifetime access to a Free tier:
- Credits — 20 lifetime credits (one-time, do not refresh)
- Model size — Max 50 MB per upload
- Render resolution — Up to 1024x1024 pixels
- Storage — 1 GB total
For higher limits and faster monthly credit grants, see our pricing page for Starter and Pro plans.
The Rendering Workflow
Step 1: Upload Your 3D Model
Click "New Render" from your dashboard. You'll see an upload area where you can drag-and-drop or select a file.
- Supported formats — GLB and glTF files only. (Tip: Export your 3D model from Blender, Maya, or similar tools as GLB for best results.)
- File size — Check your plan's limit (Free: 50 MB, Starter: 100 MB, Pro: 100 MB).
- Model load time — The model will load in the 3D viewer within 10 seconds.
- Your model is safe — GLB files are loaded and rendered entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers.
Step 2: Preview & Configure
Once your model loads, the interactive 3D viewer appears on the left with 10 control panels on the right:
Camera Controls
- Yaw — Rotate the model left/right around the vertical axis.
- Pitch — Rotate the model up/down around the horizontal axis.
- Distance — Zoom in/out on the model (closer = larger on screen).
Model Rotation & Scale
- Rotation X/Y/Z — Rotate the model around its own axes (independent of camera).
- Scale — Enlarge or shrink the model uniformly.
Lighting
- Intensity — Brightness of the light source (0–100%).
- Shadow Softness — Softer shadows look more natural; harder shadows look more dramatic.
- Angle — Direction of the light (0–360°).
- Exposure & Tone Mapping — Fine-tune the final image brightness and contrast.
Environment & Skybox
- Environment — Background lighting that affects the model's appearance. Options: Neutral, Legacy, Solid Color, Gradient, HDR file, or URL.
- Skybox — Visual background behind the model. Options: None, Solid Color, Gradient, Image file, or URL.
View Mode
- Normal — Full color and texture rendering.
- Clay — Renders the model in a neutral clay color, useful for evaluating geometry without distracting textures.
- Wireframe — Shows the model's edge structure overlaid on geometry.
- Wireframe + Material — Combines wireframe edges with texture/color.
Background & Resolution
- Background — What appears behind the model. Options: Transparent, solid color, gradient, image, or URL.
- Resolution — Output size in pixels (e.g., 1024x1024). Higher resolutions cost more credits on API renders.
Step 3: Browser Render (Free)
Click "Render & Download" to capture a screenshot of your current model view at the selected resolution. This is free and downloads instantly to your computer (usually within 3 seconds).
- No credits consumed.
- Perfect for quick previews or social media.
- Quality depends on your browser's WebGL capabilities.
Step 4: API Render (High-Quality, Paid)
Click "Render & Compare" to generate a high-quality render on our servers and compare it side-by-side with your browser version.
- Credit cost — 1 credit for up to 1024px, 2 credits for up to 2048px, 4 credits for up to 4096px.
- Processing time — Usually 10–30 seconds; you'll see the API render appear in the comparison modal once ready.
- Quality — API renders use professional rendering engines and often produce smoother, more polished results than browser screenshots.
- Error handling — If the render fails or times out, no credits are deducted and you'll see an error message. You can retry immediately.
The Comparison Modal
When you click "Render & Compare," a modal opens showing:
- Browser render (left) — Your free screenshot.
- API render (right) — The high-quality paid version.
- Download buttons — Each render can be downloaded individually.
- Camera info overlay — Shows the exact camera settings used for each render.
This lets you decide which render quality is right for your listing before committing to multiple renders.
AI Metadata Generation
What is Metadata?
When listing a 3D asset on marketplaces like CGTrader, TurboSquid, or Fab.com, you need:
- Title — A short, descriptive name (e.g., "Low-poly Forest Tree").
- Description — A detailed explanation of what the asset is, its features, and use cases (200–500 words).
- Tags — Keywords that help buyers find your asset (10–20 per marketplace).
Creating compelling metadata for each marketplace (and each asset) is time-consuming. Rendertize automates this using AI.
How It Works
To generate metadata:
- In the render workspace, click "Generate Metadata" after rendering.
- Select the rendered image(s) and target marketplaces (CGTrader, TurboSquid, Fab.com).
- Optionally, enter custom instructions (e.g., "This is a medieval weapon" or "Emphasize PBR-ready materials") to guide the AI.
- Click "Generate" — the AI analyzes your render and model geometry, then produces marketplace-optimized metadata in 10–15 seconds.
Credit Cost
10 credits per metadata generation (regardless of marketplace count). If you generate metadata for 1 asset and 5 marketplaces, that's 1 generation = 10 credits.
Editing Generated Metadata
Generated metadata is a starting point. You can edit any field (title, description, tags) directly in the interface before copying. Your edits persist for the current session.
Copying Metadata
Once generated (and optionally edited), you can:
- Click the copy button next to any field to copy that text to your clipboard.
- Click "Copy All as JSON" to copy the entire metadata structure for all selected marketplaces at once.
- Paste the JSON into a spreadsheet or directly into marketplace publishing tools.
What the AI Can Do
- Analyze your render — The AI examines your 3D model's geometry, materials, and visual appearance.
- Generate marketplace-specific metadata — Each marketplace has different conventions. The AI tailors titles, descriptions, and tags to match each platform's style and buyer expectations.
- Honor your custom instructions — If you provide guidance (e.g., "this is a sci-fi prop" or "optimize for game engines"), the AI incorporates that into the output.
Limitations & Tips
- Review before publishing — AI-generated metadata is a draft. Always review for accuracy and relevance before publishing on a marketplace.
- Your 3D files are private — Only temporary analysis images are sent to our AI provider; your original GLB files are never uploaded.
- Regenerate if needed — If you don't like the output, adjust your custom instructions and regenerate (costs another 10 credits).
Saving & Managing Listings
Saving a Listing
After generating metadata, click "Save Listing" to store all your work (renders, metadata, settings) for future reference.
- What gets saved — Asset name, selected renders, generated metadata for each marketplace, creation timestamp.
- What doesn't get saved — Render parameters (camera, lighting, etc.) are not persisted. Metadata is saved as-is at the moment of saving.
Viewing Your History
Click "Listing History" from the dashboard to see all saved listings. Each card shows:
- Asset name — What you called it.
- Thumbnail image — A preview of the primary render.
- Marketplace badges — Which marketplaces this listing targets.
- Timestamp — When it was created.
Searching & Filtering
Type in the search box to filter listings by name. You can also navigate through pages if you have many listings.
Re-using Metadata
Click on any listing card to open it and view the metadata again. You can:
- Copy individual fields or the entire JSON to your clipboard.
- Use the metadata for re-listing the same asset on additional marketplaces.
- Reference it while creating manual listings elsewhere.
Deleting a Listing
Click the delete button on any listing card to remove it from your history. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Deleted listings are removed from your dashboard.
- Renders are also deleted from storage.
- No credits are refunded for deleted listings.
Important Notes
- Listings are read-only — You cannot edit a saved listing's metadata. If you need different metadata, start a new render and generate fresh metadata.
- Renders are tied to listings — Each listing saves the renders selected during metadata generation. If you delete a listing, its renders are also deleted.
Understanding Credits & Billing
What Are Credits?
Credits are the currency used to purchase API renders and AI metadata generation. Browser screenshots are free.
Credit Cost Breakdown
- Browser render (screenshot) — 0 credits (free).
- API render (high-quality) — 1 credit for up to 1024px, 2 credits for up to 2048px, 4 credits for up to 4096px.
- AI metadata generation — 10 credits per generation (covers all selected marketplaces in one batch).
Your Credit Balance
Your current credit balance appears in the top-right corner of your dashboard and updates in real-time as you render or generate metadata.
Insufficient Credits
If you try to generate a paid render or metadata without enough credits:
- The action is blocked and you'll see an error message.
- No credits are deducted.
- You must upgrade your plan or wait for your monthly credit grant to replenish.
Monthly Credit Grants
Your plan includes a monthly grant of credits that replenishes on the first day of each month:
- Free — 20 credits/month.
- Starter — 200 credits/month.
- Pro — 500 credits/month.
Credit History
Click "Account" → "Transaction History" to view a detailed log of all credit transactions, including:
- Amount (positive for grants, negative for deductions).
- Reason (e.g., "Browser render", "API render 1024px", "Metadata generation", "Monthly grant").
- Your balance after the transaction.
Upgrading Your Plan
To get more credits, storage, and higher resolution limits, upgrade to a Starter or Pro plan. Visit rendertize.com/pricing or click "Upgrade" in your dashboard.

Refund Policy
For our full refund policy, see rendertize.com/refund. In summary: all purchases are final but include 30-day satisfaction refunds for Starter and Pro plans.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Model Upload & Preview
My model won't upload. What's wrong?
Check the following:
- File format — Only GLB and glTF files are supported. If you have an OBJ or STL file, export it as GLB from your 3D software.
- File size — Ensure your file is under your plan's limit (Free: 50 MB, Starter/Pro: 100 MB).
- Browser compatibility — Use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). WebGL must be enabled.
- Drag-and-drop — Some browsers have security restrictions. Try clicking the upload area to open a file browser instead.
The model loads but looks broken or incomplete.
Some GLB files export with embedded textures, materials, or complex hierarchies that may not render perfectly in the browser viewer. Try:
- Adjusting the View Mode (try "Clay" mode to see just the geometry).
- Zooming out to see the full model (use the Distance slider).
- Re-exporting the GLB from your 3D software with default settings.
Can I upload multiple models at once?
No, the render workspace supports one model per session. To render multiple models, complete one render session, save it, then start a new render for the next model.
Rendering
Browser render downloads, but it's blurry or low-quality.
Browser renders are WebGL screenshots and depend on your graphics hardware. To get higher quality:
- Increase the Resolution slider before rendering.
- Use the API render option for professional-grade output.
API render is taking too long.
Renders typically complete in 10–30 seconds. If it's been longer:
- Give it another 30 seconds — rendering is in progress.
- If it fails after 60 seconds, an error message appears and no credits are deducted. You can retry.
Can I render multiple images of the same model with different camera angles?
Yes. Adjust the camera settings (Yaw, Pitch, Distance) and click "Render & Compare" again. Each API render costs credits based on resolution; browser renders are free.
Can I render to different resolutions?
Yes. Change the Resolution slider and render again. Higher resolutions cost more credits (1 credit for 1024px, 2 for 2048px, 4 for 4096px).
AI Metadata Generation
I generated metadata but it's not accurate.
AI-generated metadata is a starting point, not final copy. You can:
- Edit any field directly in the interface before copying.
- Regenerate with more specific custom instructions (costs 10 more credits).
Do I have to generate metadata for all marketplaces at once?
No. Select only the marketplaces you need. For example, generate metadata for CGTrader only; later, start a new metadata generation for TurboSquid or Fab.com.
Can I regenerate metadata without being charged again?
No. Each generation costs 10 credits. You cannot "refine" a generation for free. However, you can edit the generated text directly and save it.
What language is the metadata generated in?
Metadata is generated in English. If you need translations, edit the generated text manually or use a translation tool.
Listings & History
I saved a listing but need different metadata now.
Saved listings cannot be edited. Start a new render session with the same or different model, generate fresh metadata, and save a new listing.
I deleted a listing by mistake. Can I recover it?
Deletions are permanent. However, if you saved the metadata separately (e.g., in a text file or spreadsheet), you can re-enter it manually or start a new render to regenerate it.
How long are listings stored?
Listings are stored indefinitely as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all listings and renders are permanently removed within 30 days.
Credits & Billing
Why was I charged 10 credits instead of 1 or 4?
That was likely a metadata generation (10 credits). API renders cost 1, 2, or 4 credits depending on resolution. Browser renders are free. Check your transaction history for details.
Do unused monthly credits roll over?
No. Monthly credits expire at the end of the month and do not carry over. Plan your renders accordingly.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. See our refund policy for details. In summary: 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee for paid plans. Already-consumed credits cannot be refunded.
Is there a credit or cost limit per month?
No hard limit exists for Free plan usage. However, Free plan benefits (20 credits/month) are set. Starter and Pro plans include monthly credit grants and higher limits. See pricing for details.
Account & Security
How do I change my password?
Click your profile menu (top-right corner) → "Account Settings" → "Change Password". Enter your current password and your new password.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. In Account Settings, scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account". This is permanent and will remove all your renders, listings, and metadata. You'll be asked to confirm before deletion.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (via HTTPS/TLS) and at rest in our database. See our privacy policy for full details.
Will my 3D model files be shared or sold?
No. Your GLB files are loaded and rendered entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. Only temporary analysis images (for AI metadata generation) are sent to our AI provider, and they are not retained after processing.
